Generation Council
The Generation Council is made up of senior level representatives from CEA member companies and provides strategic directions on key issues related to electricity generation.The core mandate of the Council is to influence federal policy in Canada and the U.S. in order to create an environment conducive to the economic success of Canada’s electrical generation industry and to share information and best practices among companies. The Council is focused on the strategic, proactive management of issues and challenges related to investment in and renewal of generation infrastructure and the effective management of environmental and health issues impacting generation.
To ensure the ongoing supply of cost-effective, reliable power for Canadians, the Council’s work program is oriented around five key themes (outlined below), and includes engagement with other Councils jointly on a number of issues including the Environmental Legislation group of files.
