News Release - "Electricity Industry Welcomes Prospect of Improved Predictability"

Ottawa (ON) – On June 23, 2010, the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of the Environment, announced that the Government of Canada will move forward with regulations to address greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired electricity generation.

The proposed regulations are scheduled to come into effect on July 1, 2015 and are expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 15 MT. To view full news release click here>>
