Conversation Series: Why DERMS must span both sides of the meter

Utilities are continuously going through sweeping changes and facing new challenges as the industry evolves. Traditionally, grid operators would forecast demand and dispatch supply to customers. Now the roles are reversing. In this session we’ll discuss Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMSs) and why they must span both sides of the meter. In other words, a wholistic system of customer engagement, grid control, and optimization. The good news is that you don’t have to do everything at once and we will share scalable strategies you can employ today.
