Electricity Canada’s Memorial Award for Excellence in Standards is presented to Hydro One

Toronto (November 26) Electricity Canada presented the Jim McFadgen Memorial Award for Excellence in Standards to Ajay Garg, Senior Manager at Hydro One for his expertise and leadership in electric utility standards.

Jim McFadgen was a long-time expert and leader within the standards community. At Electricity Canada, Jim represented his home utility, Nova Scotia Power, for over thirty years. This memorial award is given to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary efforts in the development, implementation, and/or promotion of standards within the industry. As well as leadership qualities that inspire others to embrace and champion standards in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Ajay had the opportunity to work closely with Jim McFadgen during his career and participated in many committees and groups together in the standards community. In his work, Ajay has lead teams of professionals, consultants, and teams to develop standards and/or plan large projects that requires adhering to national and international standards along with updating and developing new standards. He has been the author of several rules, policies and provided input into provincial government directives.
