The Grid 2021
Executive Summary
Every year, Electricity Canada compiles stories, thought leadership op-eds, initiatives, and cutting-edge projects from within the Association and from its member companies, in an effort to tell the collective story of Canadian electricity.
The Grid Magazine is one of the many ways Electricity Canada shares the latest electricity industry news, best practices and trends with its members, Corporate Partners, government partners, key decision-makers, and industry stakeholders, as a way to educate on the sector’s priorities. The 2021 edition – The Renewal Issue – addresses a variety of themes, ranging from the Net Zero by 2050 goal, to the journey towards meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, to the Canada-U.S. electricity partnership, cybersecurity, the 2021 Federal budget, and preserving Canadian wildlife.
“For the 2021 iteration of The Grid magazine, Electricity Canada brought together a diverse set of voices from key industry experts to address some of the most prominent issues in our sector right now, particularly achieving net zero carbon emissions by the year 2050. What does it mean for our industry? For society? For the end customer? How do we get from here to there? This and more will be discussed in The Renewal Issue.” – Francis Bradley, President and CEO of Electricity Canada.
