This award recognizes frontline workers who actively foster a culture of safety through everyday actions. It honours individuals or small teams that demonstrate the courage to speak up, intervene when necessary, and encourage open communication about safety. These nominees are not just safety-conscious—they actively engage their peers in real, practical ways to improve and demonstrate safety.
Eligibility:
- Open to frontline workers, crew leads, or field teams (non-management positions).
- Must be nominated by a colleague.
- Can be awarded to an individual or a small group/team.
- Recognizes consistent efforts to promote a proactive, open, and engaged safety culture in daily operations.

- Real-World Impact: Specific examples of times when the nominee(s) spoke up, intervened, or influenced change in a safety-related situation.
- Leadership in Action: Testimonials from peers or supervisors demonstrating how the nominee(s) have inspire a stronger safety culture through everyday interactions.
Selection Criteria:
- Courage to Speak Up: Willingness to raise safety concerns, question unsafe practices, and encourage open dialogue.
- Proactive Leadership: Going beyond compliance—actively influencing safety behaviours in a way that creates lasting change.
- Collaboration & Support: A strong reputation among peers for fostering a team-oriented, safety-first mindset.
